The Youth Ambassador Program is an engagement initiative for high schoolers who want to bring Ranked Choice Voting to their communities. The pilot cohort is open just to high school students in the broader Cincinnati area and will take place during April and May 2025. Please register by April 4th.
Registration is now closed for this cohort.
The commitment period is divided in two segments: Training and Project Development.
The training period will consist of virtual speaker and pitch training to inform ambassadors about Ranked Choice Voting and how to promote it. Ambassadors' contact information will also be provided to local organizers for general volunteering experience.
During the project development period, participants will create a project or organize an event intended to promote Ranked Choice Voting. Ambassadors will record their processes and outcomes.
Participants can expect this to be a 1-2 hour weekly commitment and times may be flexible in accordance with participant availability.
We’re looking for:
- 10th-12th graders in the Cincinnati area
- Students who are passionate about bringing positive change to their community
- Knowledge of Ranked Choice Voting is not necessary but a general familiarity would be helpful
Participants will obtain from this program:
- Service Hours
- Leadership experience through the student-led project initiative
- A greater understanding of electoral processes
Looking forward to hearing from you!
