Join us as we talk with festival goers about Ranked Choice Voting. We'll meet at Moeller Park. After we introduce each other and practice canvassing, we'll split into small teams to grow the movement for better elections in Ohio.

American Troubles is a 40-minute film that explores how proportional representation could break the cycle of dysfunction, drawing comparisons from two striking case studies: Portland, Oregon, where a bold new voting system is reshaping local politics, and Northern Ireland, where proportional elections helped end decades of violent conflict ("The Troubles"). Blending history, reform, and human stories, the film shows how electoral rules can entrench division - or create space for compromise.

We will watch the film, have a brief discussion, and enjoy light refreshments provided.

Join our Central Ohio Chapter in-person at Columbus Main Library or on Zoom (RSVP for the link). We'll be talking about ways to engage potential supporters in and around Columbus -- including by identifying events or locations to canvass, connecting with groups to set up speaking gigs, and other ideas for outreach or relational organizing. 

After the meeting, we'll go out together for food and drinks!
